"Scrappy Foxy"

Brooklynne's first pieced quilt. She started this quilt when she was 6 1/2 and I made her piece the entire quilt by hand. Mean Gammy ;)

 

She hand picked each and every fabric. The fabrics in the fox she picked out at a quilt shop in Branson while we were on vacation. The ladies at that quilt shop were blown away by her. She had her pieced top with her and proudly showed it off and then she was scouring the large shop for treasures. In short order, her cart was overflowing with bolt after bolt of orange and yellow fabrics. The ladies were then very busy cutting 1/2 yard from each bolt of fabric.

Scrappy Foxy has been in 2 quilt shows. The 2017 Plantation Quilting Guild Quilt Show and the 2018 Lakeview Quilt Guild Quilt Show. In the Plantation Quilting Guild  the Junior Category is judged and she won a blue ribbon. Lakeview Quilt Guild doesn't judge the Junior Category but gives them beautiful participation ribbons instead.
